[Freeciv-Dev] Unable to start civclient (PR#159)

Dear Developers,

since version 1.90 I've got a problem:
If I try to start civclient, it always aborts
with the message "Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:"
I don't know whether it's a bug of Freeciv or GTK, but
Freeciv 1.81 didn't make any problems.
I'm using the GTK- version of Freeciv and
Linux PC 2.2.13 #2 Mit Okt 20 19:43:47 CEST 1999 i686 unknown,
GLib 1.2.6, GTK+ 1.2.6 and Imlib 1.9.7
I've compiled Freeciv with Egcs 990315-8

I hope you can help me, Freeciv is great!
