[Freeciv-Dev] clean-up in po directory?

When I do a 'make', and then a 'make clean', the following files (created
by the 'make') remain in the po directory:

cat-id-tbl.c
freeciv.pot
stamp-cat-id
es.gmo
fr.gmo
pt.gmo

A 'make distclean' doesn't get rid of them, and even a 'make
maintainer-clean' still leaves a few:

cat-id-tbl.c
freeciv.pot
stamp-cat-id

I don't know enough about the i18n stuff to know which of these files are
important to whom.  Which can be deleted by which kinds of 'clean'?
