Hello,

There is a package containing new terrains based on the Engel's tiles.
You can download it (600ko) directly at:

  http://www.penguinpowered.com/~feynman/tiles_tar.gz

(I could not call it tiles.tar.gz, don't know why...)
'tiles_full.xpm' is the full colors one and 'tiles_256.xpm' the 256
colors one.
Two things must be clear first:
- This is NOT the final version. I have left some default Engel's
tiles like the animals and some others that seem to have no
real interrest. Moreover, some tiles do not really fit with the
tiles that surround them and I will fix this asap.
- You should NOT index the full colors one to less than 256 colors !!!
Because it would look bad. Period.
This a "beta" release for everyone to take a look at it and tell me
what doesn't fit. Please, don't mention if one single pixel is not at
its place, but all reports concerning visible mistakes are welcome.

These tiles will certainly be my last contribution to Freeciv as
an artist. I will not draw the isometric tiles, but I hope I will
now begin to contribute to the code.

Regards,

Alex

P.S.: You can also get 'wmciv' version 0.2 at:
