I have a second shot at an installation for WIN95/98/NT available at
http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Corner/2874.

The big changes are:
- CVS source build as of 07-Mar-1999, 12:00pm EST
- Separate install for classic tiles
- Source .bz2 tar file available
- More files included (copyright, README.rulesets, Readme, README.win,
        HOWTOPLAY)

There are two files available, freeciv.zip and tilescl.zip. Both
should really be name .exe, but geocities doesn't allow .exe's.

There is also a bzip2 of all the sources I used (but I just used
CVS as of today, 07-Mar-1999, around 12:00pm EST).

Due to problems I'm having with the installer, the classic tiles
are in the tilescl package.

I'm desperately in need of some decent windows icons for shortcuts
for the server, the server without notifying the metaserver, the
client, and the client with classic tiles. If anyone has any good
icons to use for these I'll be able to get rid of those ugly
COMMAND.COM/CMD.EXE icons.

I'm working with the author of the installation tools to try to understand
why it will not install civserver.exe or civclient.exe on NT. It works
OK for me on 98.

Please try these out and let me know of any problems/issues/comments.

Thanks,

Todd
