I don't know, wouldn't it be easier to have a 'ponton' command which
sort of turns water into earth for the goto command, and switches off
the auto-sentrying of units that e.g. cross channels ?
(because that auto-sentry at end of turn is sort of annoying)

Would only be workable for small channels, of course .. .
