I have not had any trouble at all. In fact I did a couple of laptops at
school and let in install all by itself. At work, I installed ubuntu on a
virtual pc! I am using it for a test bed for an asterisk server.

Subject: [aclug-L] UBUNTU + 2001 pc-chips all/in/one board?

I have all the parts to get up and running a "EMAIL / WEB" computer
w/monitor...
Minimum System:
1ghz Celeron / 512mb memory / built-in video / network / sound / two open
PCI slots
3.5" Floppy
40gb harddrive
CD-ROM {I might have a cd-rw drive??)
Modem riser card
17" Dell Monitor

The motherboard is a cerica 2001 pc-chips all/in/one board and I am almost
sure a has a SiS chip set, purchased from "National Computer" in 2002.

I read now the "HOT" Linux distro is "_ UBUNTU _"

The last time I tried to install Linux on one of these all/in/one boards
none of the built-in hardware would work.. but that was cerica 2003 [Red
Hat].. with it now being four+ years later.... Has anybody here tired to
install UBUNTU on one of these older mainboards?
