[aclug-L] Notebook Memory?

Does anybody here have a notebook that only has 512mb of memory that could
use another 512mb?

I snatched up one of the 'Wal-Mart' Acer Notebooks about a week ago for the
wife and was told that it came with a single 1gb chips and the second memory
socket was empty..

So with Best Buy having notebook memory on sale picked up a 1gb thinking
would be able to upgrade to 2gb of memory.. only to find that this system
shipped with two 512mb ...

Was able to upgrade to 1.5gb...

Or maybe somebody who's notebook will only see 512mb memory chips and trade
two 512mb for a single Kingston 1gb KVR667D2SO/1GR?
