I am cross posting parts of a reply to a privite email
for all to read.........

I had [tossed some of the cartridges thinking that
they had gone bad] a set of three each of the black
and color cartridges and two of the photo cartridges..
All of the cartridges have quit working at the same
time... per Lexmark if I removed both cartridges and
let the printer sit for 24 hours unplugged with no
cartridges installed... and plugged it back in and the
print head carriage still does not reset to 'empty'
then I would need to send the printer in for
repair...$75.00+ Outbound shipping... I only paid $55
for it at Wal-Mart on close out two years ago.

For $70 I could get from  OfficeMax a new Lexmark
X1150 printer that has a scanner....

--But don't have the funds to do any of the above....

I just read where people in Robotics would love to get
their hands on the stepper motors from older printers
for use in there projects.. Also it would have a AC/DC
power supply that somebody might be able to use??
