I use many Free Software applications in Windows 2000 regularly. Mozilla,
OpenOffice, GAIM, GIMP, Xchat, and putty mostly. I also have Cygwin
installed, which comes with many CLI and X-based programs, as well as an X
server that allows me to display applications running on a true Linux box
elsewhere--useful if you have a Linux "server" but still require Windows for
something (games?), and want to run Linux-based graphical programs, too. In
fact, that's why I installed the Cygwin X server... so I can run GNUcash on
my P233 router/server and display it on my workstation without having to
reboot into Linux every time I want to make a 30-second entry into my
checkbook :)
