yah, i've looked at a few of those, but seeing as how i really know
nothing about CAD and have plenty of other things to do that prevents me
from being able to learn more, i figured i'd ask if anyone that had CAD
experience knew of any good open source ones.

unfortunately, licensing is a big issue, since we can't use most
closed-source or "personal edition" type software (depending on their
licenses, of course), so i'm limited to the more traditional
(L)GPL/BSD-style licenses...
