Reading this week's edition of Debian Weekly News I read that John
Goerzen is one of three people elected to the Board of Directors for
Software in the Public Interest, the umbrella organization of the Debian
Project (did I get that right, John?).

I'd like to extend my hearty congratulations on your victory. As a
satisfied Debian user, the long-term health of the project is important
to me. It is amazing to see how many people are able to work together
and create and maintain such a quality system. I realize this position
isn't a direct part of Debian, but is important none-the-less.
