I can't help but point out you do have actual local options for DSL. I
think ADSL prices are way to low but $75 for a 384K ADSL circuit is
probably a bit on the high side in today's market.

Our single IP residential packages are $54.95 for up to 1.5M down and
$49.95 for the 384K product. We've got a hell of a lot better network
behind our product than any other local provider and certainly a lot
better than someone like speakeasy.net who is backhauling it half way
across the country to their egress point.

Our stuff has redundent DS3 egress connections behind it. We also provide
a real router rather than a dumbed down bridge like most others. The
router handles all authentication in the box and such so it is compatible
with any OS that has a TCP/IP stack in it (no software is installed on the
computer). The router does DCHP, NAT and also sorts of other stuff that
normally requires a separate box.

I might add that we are currently running a special to promote our 7th
year in the business. Until September 20th the installation on ADSL is
only $7 and the router is $7 too. These routers are definitely the
shiznit and at $7 they are a hell of a deal.
