Ahhhh. Applying a patch is a different kettle of fish than simply
building a module from supplied source. Unless the author states
differently, I would assume the patch is made to be applied against a
generic kernel, such as Linus' official kernels found at
http://www.kernel.org Now, to see those options you may need to select
Experimental or Incomplete code at the beginning of the config session.

I take it you're refering to the binary kernel image and not the source
package. The -22 at the end of the Red Hat package number may mean RH
has customized the source in some way already and the patch may not apply
cleanly. I'm assuming you'd get the RH kernel source that already
packaged and would probably match your binary package.
