Cyrix just made CPUs.  (And really crappy CPUs at that).  Check the web site
for the manufacturer of the motherboard.

Most likely, that motherboard doesnt't like the type of memory you're using
(in other words, you probably are NOT using the correct type of memory). 
You might consider just replacing the motherboard and CPU, too... it'll
probably be cheaper than buying RAM that works in that system and you'll end
up with a faster system anyway.
