Postscript is probably the easiest to make format, and probably also the
most uniformly used.  It is, IMO, superior to PDF simply b/c it's more
"standard".  PDF files, however, in my experience, are often smaller than
.ps files... but if you compress a .ps file with gzip or zip, it won't be
much larger anyway.
