Thanks for the link, while I had been able to hack out the answer for myself
afar a few more hours of searching the web.. I have a version 7 of the
motherboard and was able to update the BIOS from its 95 date to the latest
version dated 99, and doing this got rid of a built-in sound card conflict
that I was having and allowed my new (to me) AMD 300mhz chip to be seen as a
300mhz chip and not as a 233mhx chip.
