First, is Southwestern Bell doing PPPOE? I didn't think that they
were. I thought it was just a bridged connection.  Have you been given
a static IP address, or is it dynamic. These are things that would be
good to know. In general, however, it does not make sense to have
208.190.252.1 for your IP address and 169.254.1.1 for a default
gateway. The default gateway needs to be in the same network as your
IP address.
