[aclug-L] The be SOUND!! 6.2 can see my sound chip!

I still have the midi to get up and going, but it is a matter of time.  I now
can use the instant messenger on LINUX!  It has been an insult haveing to go to
M$ to use the messenger, which once a M$ sound slips out.....  

NOW.. Is there a simple program which will read DOC and XLS M$ files.  I went
to wordperfect and they want $120.00 for the program, and star office is too
large, and has too much overhead.  I need something simple like Kedit, but
Kedit does not read M$ files. (.doc)

I really missed my cd player!
