thanks, i'll check how it's compiled.

i'm starting to think that fdmount is building a tmp file
and the user doesn't get the proper setuid.

but i'm not sure what should be proper -- if i give the user
setuid root, isn't that a security issue?

anywho, i've got a couple of new directions. thanks.
