The problem has been fixed. I needed to download the right version of
perl from activestate. The one i downloaded from another website had
some bugs in it (found some docs on the web) and was older version. Also
i tracked down a problem with my System(NT) PATH variable that was
pointing to wrong executable of perl.exe.(I had two diff ver of perl
installed). Anyways, all is good now and my code is working perfectly.
