Caldera 2.3 shredded itself last night. Netscape locked-up KDE so tight that
no key combination would free it up. I was forced to power down and reboot.
The filesystem showed FAIL during the attempted reboot. This is the second
time that COL2.3 has done this to me. I decided that I was through with
Caldera at this point. I would love to say the same about Netscape!

I did a fresh install of RH6.0. I ran the sndconfig tool and setup the
soundcard. Sound is OK in KDE but I can not get sound to work in GNOME. I
went into the System Settings to system sounds and enabled both of the
checkboxes. There was no sound when I clicked on the sound event in the
right panel and then on the play button. Almost all of my experience has
been with Caldera and KDE. What am I missing?

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
