Thanks for your response. Whatever was happening seems to have cleared
itself for now. The only problem that I have experienced recently was with
kdiskcat, a disk cataloging utility. It really blew up when I tried to tweak
some settings, but hey, that's what you get sometimes with unstable apps.

I also upgraded from KDE 1.1.1 to 1.1.2. Seems OK now.

if
you sound is enabled.
