Hi all,

I just happened to get my hands on a Compaq Netelligent 10/100
UTP PCI Ethernet adapter. On going through the HOWTO for Ethernet, I found
that it is supported by Linux :-)

However, after I physically installed the card, I loaded the driver
(tlan.o) as a module without success. Since, I haven't messed with the
kernel in a little while, I compiled this driver into the kernel. Still no
success. My ifconfig -a only shows the local loopback. I however have a
few snapshots of some of the key files below. BTW, I'm still running RH
5.2 with the 2.0.35 kernel - shame on me.

Here's /var/adm/messages:

Nov 20 01:34:46 emperor kernel: TLAN driver, v1.0, (C) 1997-8 Caldera,
Inc.
Nov 20 01:34:46 emperor kernel: TLAN: IO mapping not available,
