MkLinux is a kernel for m68k CPUs, including the Pre-power macs, Amiga, and
various other Motorola 68000-serius based systems.
It works on almost all Mac II systems--except my IIfx :-(
I did not realize Apple had anything to do with it. And in fact, last I
heard, Apple was very UNCOOPERATIVE toward the MkLinux project.
There is an installable version of Debian mkLinux. I tried to use it on my
Mac IIfx... and when I had problems, I read that the IIfx doesn't support
mkLinux. :-(
