for those with really long memories.
many months ago i started trying to put together a home network.
today i got my first good ping.

it was driving me crazy.  turns out it was a hardware problem.
i kept doing what i had read and or what i had been told, but with no luck.
this morning i swaped out one of the ($2) cards from national with an other and

W A L A!

i'd had everything right all along.
bad hardwhare.

i know there are a few others also working on similar projects.
