Here are a few topics I'd like to see in upcoming meetings:

SQL - a few basic commands, maybe setting up Postgres or mSQL on a system
and creating a simple addressbook database. I'd also like to see a CGI
interface.

Retrieving mail from a server - what program(s) to use, configuration, how
to then serve it to a local network...

web hosting - all the things necessary from the ground up to host your own
domain, and perhaps even hosting others' web sites. With cable modems
becoming a reality, it is possible to pay extra for a static IP, and host
your own web site. Linux is excellent for this, let's learn how to do it.

development applications - this could be a continuation of the last meeting
and a review from several months ago, perhaps more about Xemacs, graphical
devolopment environments - I remember an application that allows you to
make buttons like visual basic...

I may have more ideas...

John
