[aclug-L] question about an internal modem

Hi, all

        Last couple days ago, I went to Best Buy(East Kellog),and I found
a modem is DIGICOM Systems 56K  int Faxmodem(PCI) with voice  $29, but it
didn't say it is a Winmodem or not, the box show a big"V.90", I am sure it
is a Plug 'n play stuff,  the DSI is said is a subsidiary of Creative and
the web site is www.digicomsys.com, the model is DI3635, and I cannot find
it on the web.
        Does any one buy this modem? 'coz a friend of mine is looking for
a budget($25-$40) int modem and going to run Linux and 95. Why Winmodem is
so cheap but it can only run on Windows....
