[aclug-L] a myriad of questions?!

1) what is the advantage of upgrading to kernel 2.2.2?, and where is the 
best source to find it?(easiest)

2)  I can only get my PnP sound and PnP modem cards to work if I first boot 
w95, and then restart (warm) into LINUX.  If I shut the power off, LINUX 
cannot turn on the PnP cards.  I've copied all the addresses w95 used, and 
they work great when I warm start from w95, but I am trying to move away 
from w95.  Any clues, what am I not doing?  I've tried to redo isapnp, to 
no avail.  I did find isapnp.conf in the wrong directory.  I had it in 
/root instead of /etc, I've since corrected that and I still have not had 
any luck.
