I received the below message about LinuxExpo. I generally will not be
forwarding these things to the list, but I thought that in this case
you may be interested to note that there is a discount for groups that
attend. The below message is from Stacy Doster, who encouraged me to
forward it to the list.

  [snipped intro -- JG]

Dear Linux User:

Come hear sizzling speakers, attend the hottest technical and business
tracks, participate in some of the most blistering BOF's ever, and view
the hottest products on the Linux market today at the 1999 LINUX EXPO
(www.linuxexpo.org) held in Raleigh, NC at the Raleigh Convention and
Conference Center Complex, May 18-22, 1999.

Linux Expo is the longest established, as well as the premier Linux
conference and exhibition. Be there to hear about the latest security
issues an don't miss some of the hottest product launches of the year.
Past Linux Expo's have attracted such luminaries as Linus Torvalds,
Robert Young, Eric Raymond, and Jon "Maddog" Hall- just to name a few.
Join some of the hot companies exhibiting this year: Red Hat Software,
Sun Microsystems, IBM, VA Research, SuSE, Oracle, Silicon Graphics, and
Motorola- just to name a few.

As a way of showing our appreciation to the Linux User community for
your continued support and dedication to the advancement of Linux, we
would like to offer you a special group rate for those of you planning
on attending the Expo. For groups of 5 or more we would like to offer a

10% discount on the group's total registration fee.* (*Discount does not

apply to those attendees who have already registered) In order to
qualify for this discount you have to have one person in the group
organize the registrations and payment and meet the March 31st
deadline. Copy the registration form off the website
(www.linuxexpo.org), list all attendees on the one registration form and

fax it to 919-383-0035. Only one form of payment will be accepted for
the whole group.

The deadline to submit a t-shirt slogan entry has been extended until
March 12th. Remember to keep your slogan short and relate it to the
"Linux is Hot" theme. The winner will receive a free conference
registration (not including Tutorials)! The winner will be notified
March 16th and all judges decisions are final.

Don't forget to tell your friends and we'll see you at the Expo!

The Linux Expo Team
