Dump AOL... They don't do anything the same way as anybody else and
don't have a linux version of their front end. I would sudjest some
other ISP... Southwind, Feist, Netcom, Southwestern bell? etc.

I moved to Netcom and dumped AOL because I could get connected to AOL,
but I could only get about 1/3 of the actual connection rate. (BTW.
This was before I got interasted in Linux.) I've been happy with
Netcom, and I usually get my full connection rate during downloads and
such. They don't yet have 56k here (But my 33.6 modem was cheap).

You can sign up online with Netcom, and be up and running in seconds.
They used to wave the setup charge when you sign up on line. Don't know
if they do now. http: www.netcom.com
