You cannot use AOL with Linux. AOL uses no standard protocols; everything
is proprietary. Therefore, you can use it only on OSs for which they
provide software. This is only one of many reasons to avoid AOL. I would
*strongly* recommend switching from AOL to a local or national ISP that
supports PPP.
