[aclug-L] lingering kernel probs

ok, john...you said to upgrade my drivers...  what all does that
involve?  (remember...i'm a newbie!)

i've downloaded kernel 2.1.123 and compiled.  left APM out for now, and
it seemed to compile correctly... i made the modules and installed them,
and then added it to lilo and tried to boot...  it got to sendmail again
and just hangs...  what's going on here?  usually, it stops for 3
seconds max, but it will take a few minutes on sendmail, then almost a
half an hour on SMB...  ideas?
