I try to figure out a subnet mask question, I hope someone can help
me. Thanks.
I have a subnet mask 255.255.255.192, and I can have 4 subnets and 64 hosts
in each subnet according to the book. The question I couldn't figure is how
can I assign the subnet and host number to each machine. For example. I
have 4 possible subnets, and 64 hosts using the subnet mask metioned above.
I use Class C, and they are

       192.168.#subnets.#hosts

        1) Do I have to give #subnet number from 1 to 4 OR I can choose any
numbers from 0 to 255 and then make up total 4
subnets?
        2) I have the similar question on #hosts. Can I choose any numbers
from 0 to 255 and then make up total 64 host except the 255
number I can not choose? Is there any except number from 0 to
255 I have to pay attention on it? After exception, how many
possible hosts on each subnet? I eagerly know the answer.

Thank again.
