i have to agree.
i was taught from an early age that not every thing that is right is legal,
and not every thing that is legal is right.

this is one reason that i prefer GPL software and shareware.  it gives me
more options.

i don't have to worry about the bean counters for commercial software, and
shareware i can pay for when i decide that it's worth keeping.

it would be nice to decompile my cadkey or autocad (both are legal copies)
and recompile them for svgalib so that they could run on linux(if it's even
posible).
but as GPL modelers and cad programs for linux improve the requirement is
slowly going away.

by the time microstation(bently) does go commercial for linux there will be
no longer be a need because GPL cad's will have filled the requirement.
