Yes.  Again, it depends on what you're doing.  I'm feeling cramped in
10 gig, but my office machine, up until recently, had a 140 meg drive
in it.  My router has two 80 meg drives in it, and really, that would
be overkill except it's also a backup mail server and needs space for
swapping since it's low on RAM.

For a full system with development tools, XEmacs, X, and ample space
for storage and extra applications, I reccommend 500 meg.  However,
not everyone needs all those programs, so people may be able to get
along just fine with 100 or 200 meg.
