Ahhhh, Window Managers! If you love flash, check out Enlightenment.
Afterstep and Window Maker have a common heritage, but I've only used
Afterstep. FVWM2 has a large following and the FVWM95 you're currently
running is an offshoot of that effort. For the past couple of months
I've been running IceWM 0.8.16 which seems quite stable is fast (since
it's early in its life) and is thememable (although changing themes
requires restarting the wm). Right now my desktop appears to be a cross
between OS/2, Win95, and Win 3.1, so it can be customized several ways.
Best of all, just three small files perform the entire configuration
(advantage of an early version) and it isn't terribly complicated to
customize, just takes a bit of experimentation.

For a rundown of quite a number of wm's, check out:

http://www.plig.org/xwinman/

and for IceWM go to:

Most of all, have fun!
