the actual comand in red hat is netcfg. you don't need to run
control-panel for any of the red hat utilitieslike glint or even fstool
it just makes it easer to find. the first thing you need to fill out is
nameservers:.  this is on the default screen.  then go to interfaces and
fill in the rest.  i have complete instructions at work i'll send them
to you tomarrow.
