You would have to edit the source code to implement that feature.  A
"recompile" wouldn't do it.  Maildirs are designed to run on
case-sensitive filesystems, and I would not necessarily assume that
there is any reliable way to make OfflineIMAP do what you want reliably
with ifolder.
