Graphical User Interface?

What does the option "-u" mean?
-u alone doesn't work, so i tried
-u Tk, -u Tk.TkUI, -u TkUI
but nothing worked. Here's the traceback:

jb@jb22 ~$ offlineimap -u Tk.TkUI

TypeError: 'NoneType' object is not callable

Is there something missing in my installation? Maybe some TK-Packages
for python? (I'm using Debian/sid)
