No, not really.  All the basics of perl stuff haven't changed since perl
5.004 or so.

Personally, I would've picked up "Programming Perl", if you are "re"learning
it.  It lasts for a long time as a reference manual, AND it covers Perl
basic syntax etc.  (But that's just me.)
