I recently got a Rage 128 (which is supported by dri etc, and does work)
however, when I plug the TV in (and reboot, as it is initialized on boot) the
TV works, but only in black and white. Also X will not start.

The BIOS is supposed to mirror the VGA to the TV, and does, but it is in
Black and White.

Anyone have a clue as to why this is?
