Hey,
I'm getting set to buy a refurbished laptop--probably either an
IBM ThinkPad or a Dell Inspiron in the 650MHz to 1.0GHz range--and will be
putting Linux RedHat 7.2 on it.
I have done a fair amount of research on my own and have read a
number of online documents about Linux on laptops. These two models seem
to be among the top Linux-compatible laptops. Anybody have any experience
with Linux on these models, or have any suggestions? Advice? Horror
stories?
I am moderately experienced with Linux and have successfully
installed Mandrake on a desktop I built. But I have never had a laptop
before, have never used RedHat and am not an expert at tweaking and
configuring Linux.
