Can anyone help me?

Time Warner installed Road Runner in my RH-7 computer today but
it doesn't seem to recognize the ethernet card they plugged in.

At start up it looks at it and then simply says eth0 failed the
diagnostics. I tried running kudzu for whatever good it is, it
suggested that it could remove my serial mouse? I told it no
thank you!

The installer said he had RH-6.2 at home, messed with
control-panel a bit and rendered my PPP connection inoperative. I
need to troubleshoot that too. C-P and netcfg do not offer any
PPP selection? I've run into that before and muddled through
somehow.

This is a Windows 98 box I set up in case they refused to deal
with Linux.

Any help on getting the ethernet card recognized would be
helpful.

Tnx.

Bob Goodwin
