[linux-help] Kppp and add printer for RH 7.1

Cheers all-
I'm scouting the Linux landscape for a new source of online or otherwise
help for newbie ( me ) using RH. My first problem is getting KPPP (KDE)
to connect to my ISP. I would be glad to use an alternative, and I  have
looked at linuxdoc.org and linuxnewbie.org., and will continue to
experiment with what I find. KPPP dials the number and looks like it's
going to connect, but then the dialog window goes blank and freezes and
I can't dial again unless I reboot. Also, RH doesn't see my HP710
printer and I don't see that it has an "Add Printer" feature. Any
suggestions?
