[linux-help] Sendmail

Hi,
I need help with a mail server does any one have the experiance in configuring 
mailservers using sendmail.
I configured one for my customer & my problem is Eudora gets along time to get 
authonticated by the server.
So always there comes a time out from the client side.
Can any one help me on this pls.
I can give more specific detials if you want.
