Hi there,
there is a tool called sndconfig  (sndconfig*.rpm) which helps you configure the
sound card.
If it doesn't help you should try set jumpers on the sound card board
and edit /etc/modules.conf properly to sound card configuration.
You should also write more about your sound card. (p'n'p, SoundBlaster , etc) .
