[linux-help] I want to set up a linux server at home. Please aim me at the correct package and howto

I have a junker pentium and a 50 gig hard drive.  I am wanting to set up a 
linux server, if anything to learn how.  Please aim to the proper package to 
use with red hat and the proper how to to read.  I have off until next 
thursday.  I want to set up mail and everything, like it was for a company.  
(for the practice of doing it)
