What other information did it say (all of it)?
What it sounds like is that you haven't loaded another module it depends on.
Try finding loop.o in /lib/modules/2.2.14-5.0/modules.dep (or wherever your
modules are kept-that should be correct for rh6.2), and then insmoding the
modules it requires.
