here's some of the stuff i saw on a web page -- i don't know
if it's accurate, what do you think?

The SSH1 protocol is not being developed anymore, as SSH2 is being
developed as the standard. Even if you are not using SSH2,
you should work on a migration path towards it. With three implementations
(and growing) of SSH2 currently in the works, there is
no reason to continue to run the SSH1 implementations.
If you are installing a daemon, check to make sure your remote clients are
connecting to you with the right version of SSH (SSH1
-> SSH1, or SSH2 -> SSH2, or SSH2 (with SSH1 compatiblity) -> SSH1, etc.).
