When a filename requires translation from the PC to the HP (using
"rmHelper"), the progress dialog is left on the PC screen until a mouse
movement or other user activity. This does not happen with rmHelper is not
used. Details:
After dragging a file from the HP pane to the PC pane, the following
happens:
1. PC puts up "Receiving files" progress dialog.
1a. HP displays "Receiving rmHelper" for a few seconds.
2. There is obvious activity--HP receives commands, the thermometer on the
PC fills up, more activity, finally the HP hourglass indicator is off and
stays off as it shows "Awaiting Server Cmd"
3. During this time, the actual file name transferred is shown in the PC
progress window--the HP filename if it's vanilla, otherwise the temporary
file name (e.g., for HP file "A<right-arrow>B", what might be displayed
could be "AXB.tmp0")
3b. The PC dialog is taken down and we're ready for the next operation.

If a vanilla filename, 1a does not happen, 3b does, all is proper.
If non-vanilla 1a happens and 3b doesn't, until the user moves the mouse.

P.S. VANILLA = Very ASCII, No ILLegal Arcana
